About Macy

"I promise that you'll never find another like me!"
-Taylor Swift

Wait, you sound familiar!

Hey there! My name is Macy Jenkins: your favorite charismatic, crowd-loving, crowd-pleasing and often witty (*blushes*) storyteller. I've got oodles of personality and standout skills as a writer, narrator and speaker.

For more than 13 years, I've been working as a professional broadcast news reporter, bringing my authentic, reliable and conversational delivery to screens across America.

As a SAG-AFTRA member, I'm happy to engage in continuous training at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab in Los Angeles -delightfully discovering the depths of my range and abilities.

My voice is best described as warm, engaging, friendly, inspiring, sincere, believable, approachable, confident, strong, enthusiastic, smooth, sophisticated, luxurious, calming, reassuring & compassionate.

Oh snap, have I seen you before?

Yep, that's me!  From red carpets to high-blood pressure inducing election nights, I've covered it all live on living room screens from coast to coast.

First, I pulled a Fievel and headed west from Washington D.C. to Little Rock, Arkansas.  From there, I leaned in and landed closer to home in Sacramento, California.  Then, I headed south to Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas.  Next up, I landed in the City of Angeles as an integral part of the daily "news grind" working for NBC4 News in Los Angeles.

After living in 6 states, 11 cities, and even in Spain for a semester, I'm happy to call LA home again. As a native of both South Florida and Southern California, I enjoy the sunshine, clear water and the great outdoors!

My travels have taken me everywhere from New York City to Marrakesh to Montana to Paris...and I can't wait to see the rest of the world!

Ah! There's nothing like fresh school supplies

I graduated from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts in communication, journalism and SpanishDuring my time in the nation’s capital, I had the opportunity to intern with Former Vice President Al Gore’s “The Climate Project, a non-profit dedicated to climate change education.  And as a student tour guide, I broke the record for the highest number of campus tours given in a single month: 27!

My travels eventually took me up north to the Empire State, where I earned my Master of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications.  I fell in love with the craft: writing, editing, reporting, researching, shootingand spending hours laser-focused on creating a credible and compelling story.

OMG I love your dress, where did you get it?

When I'm not busy talking, I'm wildly passionate about eradicating plastic pollution from the ocean and fighting textile waste by organizing the resale of second-hand clothing on my Poshmark page (@DressMeDarling_).

I'm always up for a bike ride along a river or the beach, a night of karaoke, an improv show, recycling, building or repurposing something; or watching an episode of Outlander, Dateline or The Challenge (CT let's hang out!).

"You have to be odd to be number ONE!
